This role will work with the Business Systems Manager to engineer the most efficient and effective processes and business systems across all business functions (e.g., design, development, controls, electronics, purchasing, materials planning, manufacturing, and build).

The role

This role will work with the Business Systems Manager to engineer the most efficient and effective processes and business systems across all business functions (e.g., design, development, controls, electronics, purchasing, materials planning, manufacturing, and build).

Key Responsibilities:

  • To design, develop, implement, and maintain efficient and effective business processes and supporting business systems, to deliver on the future business strategy
  • To identify the requirements of each department and propose solutions
  • To contribute to the creation of Business Cases/ Justifications considering scope, objectives, schedule, and cost/ benefit
  • To liaise with other departments and get buy-in from all stakeholders to effectively implement and embed new processes and systems
  • Coach the teams in using the new systems
  • Review benefits of improvement projects and evaluate against requirements

Required Education and Industry Experience

  • Degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Engineering or Computer Science) or equivalent experience

Required Technical Skills and attributes

  • In depth knowledge of one or more of the following business systems: CRM, MRP, ERP, PLM, MES
  • Knowledge and experience of Process Analysis / Process Modelling, and ideally Process Improvement Methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Strong IT skills (ideally including a level of programming skills)
  • Understanding of relational databases (e.g., MS SQL, Oracle)
  • Understanding of Workflow/ Automation and Business Intelligence (e.g., Power Automate, Power BI etc)
  • Project Management skills – Ability to plan and work to deadlines to meet objectives
